Cathy's Critter Care is now hiring responsible adults to work for our company. We are hiring in all areas of San Antonio and surrounding communities. You must be a responsible, self directed adult. You must have exceptional communication skills, and be able to work with animals and people with minimal supervision. You will be in charge of your assignments and will be responsible for your clients' care. You must have good organizational skills and be motivated to provide quality pet care. You must have a registered, working vehicle that you can use to drive to and from pet sitting assignments and the ability to check email and view online calendars on a daily basis.

You must be able to provide information for a complete criminal, personal and credit background check.

The hours of work and assignments are very flexible. However, you must be willing to work most early mornings, late evenings, and all weekends and holidays. Most of your pet sitting assignments can be arranged to coordinate around your existing schedule.

The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:

Sufficient strength, agility and coordination to handle animals in a home environment

Sufficient knowledge of animals to care for them appropriately, and to notice any illness

Sufficient delicacy to handle, examine, and move, (without harming), sick, injured, or struggling animals

Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with fellow independent contractors and business owners

Able to deal effectively with all types people

Able to take direction from the team leader and business owners

Able to effectively communicate in English and follow oral and written instructions

Ability to understand and follow safe work habits around animals

Able to open, enter, exit, and secure and lock homes without incident

Willingness to accept regular, weekend, holiday, and after-hour assignments
